1. Prices
Prices are valid at the time of placing the order, but are subject to change without notice. Although we make every effort to ensure advertised prices are correct, there may be occasions where an incorrect price is advertised. Under these circumstances we are not obliged to supply goods at the advertised price where there is an error in any said price. Please note that prices advertised are VAT- inclusive where applicable but exclude delivery charges. On occasion, the prices/promotions on the website may differ from those available in store. We are under no obligation to honour the prices/promotions on the website in store.
2. Product Images/Specifications
Whilst we endeavour to ensure all product images and specifications on the site are correct, they do vary. Some of the images are of pre-production samples or photographs of the real thing. From time to time manufacturers may change colours or other details of their products. As such we can accept no responsibility for incorrect images/specifications. We advise any customer who is unsure of the product(s) they intend ordering to contact us prior to placing an order so a member of our sales team may assist.
3. Orders
All orders made by you through the website are subject to acceptance by us. We will send you an order acknowledgement via e-mail once the order is submitted, this is only an acknowledgement and not an acceptance of your order.
4. Availability of Goods
We endeavour to make sure all items stated on our website as ‘in stock’ are in stock however if an item is out of stock we will contact you giving you the option to keep the item(s) on back order (providing further stock is obtainable) or to cancel the order.
5. Delivery
Despatch of goods in stock will usually be within 48hrs (excluding Sundays & Bank Holidays) of receipt of order and delivery will usually be via Royal Mail or Next Working Day Specialist Courier (Mainland UK only). Some larger and/or bulkier items may be despatched using Royal Mail Standard parcels and can take 3+ working days for delivery. Royal Mail Standard parcels may also be used for some Scottish Highland, Lowland and Offshore Postcodes and Northern Ireland. Most deliveries will require a signature upon delivery, please ensure that a signature will be obtainable at the delivery address given. A card will be left if delivery is not possible, if delivery via courier, please contact the courier to arrange a second delivery, failure to do so or failure of a second delivery will result in an additional charge for delivery and administration fee. Royal Mail items not delivered will usually require that the item is collected from the depot. If you require an item by a certain time/date, we would recommend you telephone phone us to enable us to send the items via the appropriate service for which an additional postage charge may incur. Items ordered via the website can only be delivered in the UK. For all overseas Mail Order, please contact us for a shipping quote. We cannot be held liable for any late delivery as a result of circumstances beyond our control.
6. Payment
Full payment must be made in advance of delivery by: Visa/ Delta, MasterCard, Switch/Maestro (Some debit cards may not be useable for mail order transactions). Payment Cards will not be charged until the goods are ready for despatch. Where part orders are sent, only the value of that despatch will be charged to your card. For security reasons, when placing an order, you must give your full name, address and postcode, which must be the same as that held by the payment card company.
7. Returns
Goods purchased from us may be returned within eight days of receipt for a refund, providing you have notified us in writing of your intention to return items in person, by post, by FAX or by e-mail within these eight days. The goods must be returned to the above address and the cost of packing and returning any goods will be at the customer’s expense. Please use a suitable service when returning goods, as we cannot be held responsible for any returned goods lost in transit. We must receive goods within 14 days, and any goods returned must be received by us in the condition they were received by the customer. Sealed boxes and packages such as plastic or metal kits must be unopened, clear bags with header cards must be intact, goods will only be refunded if they are in the condition that they were received. A full refund will be made within 28 days of the goods being received back by us, less any additional delivery charge above our current standard rate. This condition does not affect your rights on the return of faulty goods.
8. Faulty Goods
Please contact us if you believe the goods you have received are faulty. All products supplied are covered by the terms & conditions of the manufacturers warranty.
9. Privacy Policy
Any details held will be used only by Monk Bar Model Shop and our partners and will not be passed on to any other parties. Occasionally we may send you details of special offers, promotions or new price lists. If you would rather not be part of any of these direct mailings, please state this when ordering. All data is protected under the terms of the Data Protection Act.
10. Force Majeure
We will not be under any liability whatsoever in the event that we are prevented or delayed from supplying or making delivery of goods by any reason or cause beyond our control.
11. Severability
In the event that any or part of these terms and conditions shall be determined invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent such term, condition or provision shall be severed from the remaining terms & conditions, which shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. Choice of Law and Jurisdiction
